Whew! What a whirlwind!

Well midstateclassic.com is being moved and it is harrowing for me.  Between grading papers and entering grades I must change over to the new server.  As usual I left files behind on the old server and I need those.  I hope Thomas Brunt of Outfront will get them for me before he closes down the old server.  You would think I would learn my lesson from working on a website for 15 years to backup, backup, backup!!  (I did backup but that computer died many years ago and I failed to save the file on a disk or did I?

Out of the Mouths of Babes

Today I was teaching how to write a persuasive letter so I decided to model with something I had wanted.  I modeled that I wanted Zumba for my Wii and the 2 main reasons why my husband should buy me one.  In trying to use persuasion in my letter I stated that I loved to dance and the students said "REALLY!  YOU DANCE?"  I said I did dance when we had our parade.  They said that wasn't dancing.  Anyway after being insulted about my dancing I knew I should not have put the next thing down which was..... It would help me lose weight.  WELL!  One boy said, "How much do you weigh Mrs. B?  195?  250? 300?"  I stared at him real hard thinking I hope he stops soon.  I started talking about why that was a good reason for my health and completely ignored him.  I had to laugh at the end of the day....these kids will say anything won't they.  I guess I deserved that.  Next time I will ask for a movie DVD then there will be no weighing in involved.

Shopping without much money

Went shopping today without much money only a gift card.  Wow things were expensive but I wanted to get the most for my money.  Did the BOGO thing and the 2 for and then tried to get everything I needed for under $50.00.........Well went over by $20.00 not bad (got 4 bags full of groceries)!

Remember when 4 bags of groceries cost about $10.00?  Am I getting old or what?

Happy New Year

This is the new year and I am promising that life's setbacks will not drag me down.  I am going to look at life as if it were a learning game and not an "I gotcha!" game.  Lets see if I can continue this thought throughout the year.  Hmmm!  How about you?
